BEIJING, Sept. 23 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao left here Tuesday morning to attend the UN high-level meeting on the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) scheduled on Sept. 25 in New York.
新华社23日北京讯——国务院总理23日上午离开北京，赴纽约参加25日举行的联合国千年发展目标高级别会议。
Wen was invited by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon. He is also scheduled to attend the general debate of the 63rd session of the UN General Assembly.
应联合国秘书长潘基文邀请，温总理还将参加第63届联合国大会一般性辩论。
Representatives from some 150 countries, including more than 90 heads of state or government, are expected to attend the event, which will be convened by Ban with the aim to generate further actions to reach the MDGs by 2015.
包括90位各国政府首脑在内的来自150个国家的代表将出席本次大会。本次大会由潘基文召集，旨在为到2015年实现千年发展目标而采取新一步行动。
