　　3. 首先是维护民族独立和国家主权, 积极发展民族经济，以经济独立来巩固已经取得的政治独立。  
　　First, the third world shall defend their national independence and state sovereignty, and actively develop their national economies so that they can back up the political independence they have already won with economic independence.
　　4. 由于党的农业政策，我国千千万万农民走上了致富的道路。
　　Thanks to the policies of the communist Party of China on agriculture, millions of  Peasants in China are getting rich.
　　5. 有些企业和单位，群众自己选举出的干部，一些毛遂自荐、自告奋勇担任负责工作的干部，很快就作出了成绩，比单是从上面指定的干部合适得多。
　　In some enterprises and other units, cadres who volunteered for leading posts or were elected to them by the masses have achieved much in little time and proved more capable than cadres appointed from above.
　　6. Nonstop waves of immigrants played a role, too and so did bigger crops of babies as yesterday’s “baby boom” generation reached its child-bearing years.（英译汉）

　　译文：不间断的移民浪潮也起了作用——而且随着昔日在“生育高峰期”出生的一代人达到生育年龄，婴儿的出生数量增加了，这同样起了作用。
