　　I thought you might want some apples.
　　Wish,wonder,think,hope等用过去时做试探性的询句、请求、建议等，表示动作或状态都已成为过去，现已不复存在。
　　2.我想向您借车用一用，可以吗？
　　I wanted to ask you if I could borrow your car.
　　3.如果你要去旅行，最好尽快做好准备。
　　If you are going to make a journey, you’d better get ready for it as soon as possible.
　　4.如果你现在愿意脱下你的衣服，我们将在镜子前给你试新装。
　　Now if you will take off your clothes, we will fit the new clothes on you in front of the mirror.
　　5.老人过去常常坐在宁静的公园里的一条长椅上，看着其他的人，一坐就是数个小时，什么也不干，也不和任何人交谈。
　　The old man would sit on a bench in the quiet park and look at others for hours without doing anything or talking to anybody.
　　6.I’m looking for a permanent job with promotions and raises, I don’t mind if I start with a low salary because the experiences I have had was not in a bank.However, they were similar and I’m willing to learn. I’ll leave it to you, for I’m not in the position to ask for a certain salary.（英译汉）
