在切磋球技中成长：黑利伯瑞VS圣保罗篮球比赛

　　1月13日，黑利伯瑞国际学校篮球队的队员们与圣保罗美国学校进行了本学期最后一场篮球比赛。比赛十分激烈，而双方球员在比赛中都有出色表现。

　　On Wednesday the 13th of January, in the last game of the academic semester, both Haileybury’s boy and girl Senior Basketball teams travelled to St Paul’s American School in North West Beijing. Both teams played valiantly against the strong International School competition.

　　黑利伯瑞女子篮球队率先出场，与实力相当的圣保罗女子篮球队进行了激烈的对抗。 赛程过半，双方比分接近，黑利伯瑞女子队仅以两分之差落后。黑利伯瑞女子篮球队最终以19:25负于圣保罗。黑利伯瑞女子篮球队的Michelle在比赛中奋力抵抗，表现出色。

　　The Haileybury International School girls basketball team played first, versing a similarly capable St Paul’s opponent in an exciting match. At half time the teams were tensely close at 16 to 14 with Haileybury only trailing by 2 points. The Hearts maintained the narrow difference with a final score of 25 to 19, being defeated in a tense game by a mere 6 points. There was a particularly strong performance from Michelle in offence.

　　黑利伯瑞与圣保罗男子篮球赛同样精彩纷呈。比赛开始，圣保罗便发起了强烈进攻，尽管黑利伯瑞抵挡住对手的攻势，上半场结束时圣保罗以21：20领先。但是在下半场比赛中，圣保罗没有延续上半场强劲的攻势，最终黑利伯瑞以45:33获胜。黑利伯瑞男子篮球队的Leo在此次比赛中表现出精彩的球技和团队合作精神。

　　Following the Hearts, Haileybury’s boys completed a close and competitive game. The strong opponents were going to be a challenge from the onset, yet Haileybury was holding back the Yankee Saint Paul’s tide with a 20 to 21 score at half-time. Unfortunately, the Bloods’ could not match their momentum in the second half following aggressive play by St Paul’s that resulted in a defeat of 45 to 33. Special mention goes to Leo for his strong performance and teamwork throughout the match.

　　通过篮球比赛，黑利伯瑞国际学校的学生有机会和来自世界其他地区的同龄同学切磋球技。学生们在比赛中的表现是是十分值得骄傲的。

　　Overall, the competition offers Haileyburians the opportunity to excel and travel throughout Beijing to verse similar International students from around the world. Each player performed excellently in this competitive environment and has every reason to be proud of their performanc
