Game of Thrones continues to fill out its cast for Season 2.今夏大热美剧《权利的游戏》继续为明年的第二季扩充演员。
British actor Stephen Dillane， who portrayed Thomas Jefferson in HBO's John Adams， will play Stannis， Entertainment Weekly reports. Stannis is the stern， no-nonsense brother of the former hard-partying King Robert Baratheon （Mark Addy）。
《娱乐周刊》报道，曾在美国HBO电视网美剧《约翰。亚当斯》中扮演托马斯。杰斐逊的英国男演员Stephen Dillane将会在《权利的游戏》第二季中扮演Stannis.Stannis其实是在第一季中死掉的Robert国王的兄弟。
King Robert was killed by a wild boar while hunting in the sixth episode of Season 1 — a loss that eventually led to the War of the Five Kings. Stannis believes he is the rightful heir to the Iron Throne now that his older brother is out of the picture.在《权利的游戏：冰与火之歌》第一季第六集中，Robert国王在打猎的时候被野猪所伤最后死亡——他的死也是五大国开战的导火线。Stannis认为哥哥Robert过往死了，自己就是铁王座的合法继承人。
In the books， Stannis is counseled by a powerful woman during his quest to claim the throne. This powerful woman， a mysterious sorceress named Melisandre， will be played by Dutch actress Carice van Houten （Valkyrie）。
在《权利的游戏》书中，Stannis争夺王位的过程中一直有一位法力高强的女巫扶持，而这个女巫就是Melisandre，这个角色将会由荷兰女演员Carice van Houten扮演。
In casting breakdowns for the role， Melisandre is described as a very seductive woman and — spoiler alert！ — an eventual lover of Stannis. She has prophetic powers and can control dark forces and does everything in her power to impose her religion and beliefs on the world， and is a serious threat to anyone who tries to get in her way. Melisandre这个角色相当有魅力——随着剧情的发展Melisandre将会爱上Stannis.Melisandre身为女巫拥有预言的能力，而且还能够控制黑暗力量征服所有人。相信她如此强大的魔力对于那些阻碍她目的达成的人们来说会是相当大的威胁。
Game of Thrones is set to return next year on HBO.《权利的游戏》第二季将会在明年回归HBO电视网。
