2017年MBA长难句之否定结构1

　　说到否定结构，大家或许马上就想到了一些常见的否定词，

　　由于英汉两种语言在表达方法上存在很大差异，

　　很多同学一不小心就出现了汉语式的望文生义，

　　导致了翻译错误，以致于在考试中失误。

　　那么今天就带大家去熟悉那些翻译中容易混淆的否定结构。

　　no 和 not

　　not:是副词，用来否定动词、副词和形容词;

　　no:是形容词，用来否定名词，常常带有感情色彩。

　　例句

　　She is not a fool .

　　释义：她不是个傻子

　　She is no fool .

　　释义：她一点儿都不傻

　　no more than和not more than

　　no more than

　　表示对两者都否定，意为“同...一样不”(=neither ...nor)

　　not more than

　　指两者虽都具有某种特征，但程度不同，意为“不如”(=not so...as)

　　例句

　　She is no more clever than he is.

　　释义：她和他一样都不聪明

　　She is not more clever than he is.

　　释义：她不如他聪明

　　no more than的引申

　　no more than

　　表示 “仅仅”、“只有”(=only)，强调少

　　not more than

　　表示“不多于”、“至多” (=at most)

　　not less than

　　表示“不少于”、“至少”(=at least)

　　例句

　　He is no more than 8.

　　释义：他仅仅8岁。(=8岁并强调小)

　　He is not more than 8.

　　释义：他顶多8岁。(≤8岁)

　　He is not less than 8.

　　释义：他至少8岁。(≥8岁)
