　　2017考研英语二阅读复习：一篇典型的说明文(二)

　　每年的考研英语阅读四篇文章题目难度是逐渐递增的，文章也显得更加晦涩些，这篇英语说明文是出现在2006年英语真题中的第四篇，很多同学反映错误率高，因此，今天文都网校考研英语靖老师就这篇说明文的题目进行解析，让我们更多地把握说明文的出题规律。

　　36. What did the writer say about the plane?

　　A It had no seats.

　　B It was painted white.

　　C It had no windows.

　　D The outside was misleading.

　　该题属于细节题，答案在一二段，AC是很容易排除的，跟原文叙述相反;而B相对的原文说的是在机舱内部曾经是座位的地方被涂成了白色，而不是说飞机被涂成了白色。正确答案是对于原文的同义替换，这也是常常出题的方式，The outside was misleading=appearances were deceptive。

　　37. According to the writer, how did the young scientists feel before the flight?

　　A sick

　　B keen

　　C nervous

　　D impatient

　　在第三段，也就是young scientists进入机舱还没有起飞，他们的心理状态是the young scientists quickly took their places with a look of fear.我们要寻找fear的近义词，很明显是nervous紧张，而不是恶心或者激情或者欠缺耐心，这些都与fear差的太多了。

　　38.What did the pilot do with the plane after it took off?

　　A He quickly climbed and then stopped the engines.

　　B He climbed and them made the plane fall slowly.

　　C He took off normally and then cut the engines for 20 seconds.

　　涉及到飞机起飞的，在第五段，而飞行员的操作在五段第一句话的后半部分，when the pilot put the plane into a 45 degree climb which lasted around 20 seconds. Then the engines cut out and we became weightless.飞行员以45度角往上飞行20分钟，而后引擎关闭，大家处于失重状态。非常吻合的A选项就是正确答案了。

A new team conduct its experiment.失重状态下，主要是进行实验操作，但选项中并未出现试验先关的内容，而D用另一种说法--把队员的想法进行尝试、试验，就是conduct experiment。

　　这道题目放在比较后算是比较简单的了，我们已经知道是说明文并未出现作者要论证的内容，就是说明或者描述了一个过程，带有混淆的是D，报导了.....，但是偷换了概念，不是scientific technique。

　　总的来说，这个考研英语真题的题目整体难度不是特别大，需要我们按照自己的做题思路认真对待，以不变应万变。

　　It looked just like another aircraft from the outside The pilot told his young passengers that it was built in 1964. But appearances were deceptive and the 13 students from Europe and the USA who boarded the aircraft were in for the flight of their lives.

　　Inside the area that normally had seats had become a long white tunnel.Heavily padded(填塞) from floor to ceiling it looked a bit strange. There were almost no windows, but lights along the padded walls illuminated it. Most of the seats had been taken out apart from a few at the back where the young scientists quickly took their places with a look of fear.

　　For 12 months，science students from across the continents had competed to win a place on the flight at the invitation of the European Space Agency .the challenge had been to suggest imaginative experiments to be conducted in weightless conditions.

　　For the next two hours the flight resembled that of an enormous bird which had lose its reason，shooting upwards towards the heavens before rushing towards Earth.The invention was to Achieve weightlessness for a few seconds.

　　The aircraft took off smoothly enough. But any feelings that I and the young scientists had that we were on anything like a scheduled passenger service were quickly dismissed when the pilot put the plane into a 45 degree climb which lasted around 20 seconds. Then the engines cut our and we became weightless. Everything become confused and left or right. Up or down no longer had any meaning. after ten seconds of free fall descent the pilot pulled the aircraft out of its nosedive. The return of gravity was less immediate than its loss. but was still sudden enough to ensure that some students came down with a bump.

　　Each time the pilot cut the engines and we became weightless. A new team conduct it experience. First it was the Dutch who wanted to discover how it is that cats always land on their feet. then the German team who conducted a successful experiment on a traditional building method to see if could be used for building a further space station. The Americans had an idea to create solar sails that could be used by satellites.

　　After two hours of going up and down in the lane doing their experiments， the predominate feeling was one of excitement rather than sickness. Most of the students thought it was an unforgettable experience and one they would be keen to repeat.
