　　1. ban----prohibit， “禁止”

　　ban n 禁止;禁令

　　abandon v 抛弃，放弃,放纵

　　例句：

　　1)“放弃”，abandon one’s ideas放弃某人的想法

　　“抛弃”，如abandon one’s wife抛弃某人的妻子

　　2)The EU is faced with so many problems that some of its member countries plan to abandoneuro. (真题 英语二 2011, Text 4, 36题C选项)欧盟面对如此多的问题，乃至一些成员国计划放弃欧元。

　　2.bas,base-----low, foundation, “低下，基础”

　　debase v 降低

　　例句：
