二． 音节
1． 开音节
a. 绝对开音节
以元音字母结尾的音节以及元音字母+e （一般不发音）结尾的音节.
例如：no, he, hi, go, see, pie, due, sky , fly, by 等。
b. 相对开音节
一个元音字母+一个辅音字母（r除外）+ e (不发音)结尾的音节，如：
name, game, eve, these,  bike, like,  home, hope , use 等。
2． 闭音节
一个元音字母+ 一个或几个辅音字母（r 除外）结尾的音节。例如：
 flag, send, wish, big, stand, swim, run, sit, put, sun, long, dust, shut, fat, stop 等.
3.元音字母在开音节中的发音：

4.元音字母在闭音节中读其短音

5.特例
a. a 前面是辅音   时，读作
what, wash, want, quality
b. a 后面是st, ss, sp,  sk, th, f(t ), n 时，读作
 

of 属格多用于无生命的东西。如：the name of the song (歌名) the title of the book （书的标
题）但是当有生命的名词后面接短语或从句修饰时，也用of表示所属。
如：What is the name of the girl sitting near the door?
那个坐在门口附近的女孩叫什么名字？（名词girl后面有现在分词短语作定语）
We have the support of the people of the whole world.
我们得到了全世界人民的支持。（名词people后有of 短语作定语）
