　　catch 的用法： catch (caught caught)

　　catch at 试图抓住/拼命抓

　　catch hold of    (1)

　　catch on 流行起来;理解/明白

　　eg:He is a good student and he really catches on fast.

　　他的确是个好学生，对知识吸收领会得非常快.

　　catch one's breath 屏息/透不过气来

　　catch out 发觉...有错误(或做坏事)

　　catch up with 赶上;对...产生恶果

　　catch up with是指从后面赶上来;keep up with 是指保持在同一个水平上，不落伍.

　　eg: I had to work hard to catch up the others, after missing a term.

　　休学一学期后，我必须努力用功，以赶上其他同学.

　　He walked so fast so that she couldn't keep up with him.

　　他走得很快，使得她无法跟上.

　　*其中overtake 也有赶上之意.

　　catch one's eye 引起某人注意

　　eg:The mistakes in this book caught John's eye.

　　书中的错误引起了约翰的注意.

　　catch sight of　(2)

　　eg: when he catches sight of her, the sweet memory comes into his mind again.

　　当他看到她时，甜蜜的回忆再次浮现在他脑海里.

　　catch the attention of　(3)

　　eg: If he was going to write scripts,it had to catch the attention of a producer.

　　如果他要写剧本，必须要引起某个制片人的注意.
