　　句子一：

　　If a unified, peaceful, liberal, pluralistic free-market Europe begins to doubt itself, begins to question the progress that’s been made/ over the last several decades, then we can’t expect the progress that is just now taking hold in many places around the world will continue.

　　词汇突破：

　　1. Unified 统一

　　2. pluralistic 多元的

　　3. free-market 自由市场(经济)

　　主干识别：we can’t expect+宾语从句( the progress will continue)

　　其他成分：1.If a unified, peaceful, liberal, pluralistic free-market Europe begins to doubt itself, (这里是省略了and)begins to question the progress// that’s been made(定语从句)= the progress has been made / over the last several decades.

　　(状语从句)

　　2. that= the progress is just now taking hold in many places around the world

　　Note :这几个定语从句可以翻译到名词前，因为长度不是很长!
