　　catch up with 赶上;对...产生恶果
　　catch up with是指从后面赶上来;keep up with 是指保持在同一个水平上，不落伍.
　　eg: I had to work hard to catch up the others, after missing a term.
　　休学一学期后，我必须努力用功，以赶上其他同学.
　　He walked so fast so that she couldn’t keep up with him.
　　他走得很快，使得她无法跟上.
　　*其中overtake 也有赶上之意.
　　catch one’s eye 引起某人注意

　　 bring down 1) 打到，挫伤 2) 降低
　　 eg: It is a good opportunity for us to bring down our opponents
　　 这是我们打到对手的好机会。
　　 eg: The price of transistor radios has been brought down considerably in recent years.
