根据笔者对考研英语阅读理解文章以及题目多年进行的潜心研究，总结出了以下13个重点考点和四大命题原则。考生应该熟记这些重点考点，并在平时的练习中训练自己对这些考点的敏感程度，做到使自己的神经能够一找到这些考点就会条件反射般地兴奋起来，从而增强对重点的记忆和理解。下面首先将一一介绍阅读理解文章的敏感考点。

考研英语阅读理解一共由A、B、C三个部分组成，本书主要涉及A部分，即单项选择题。根据考试大纲的要求，考生应能综合运用英语语言知识和阅读既能来理解选自各类书籍和报刊的不同类型的英文书面文字材料，能以每分钟60个词的速度阅读各种题材和题材的文字材料（生词量不超过所读材料总词汇量的3%），还应读懂与本人学习或工作有关的文献、技术说明和产品介绍等。
